Project-Electricity generation using windmill

This project was the first ever project that I uploaded

on youtube.

The components that you need are as follow.

 

  • Motor
  • Shaft
  • Leds(To test if electricity is being generated) 5
  • 2 Pulleys 1 small and 1 big
  • Rubber band
  • 2 wires

 

OR You can buy a electricity generating wind mill kit online.

 

Theory : A wind turbine captures the wind to produce energy. The wind makes the rotor spin, as the rotor spins, the movement of the blades drives a generator that creates energy. The motion of the wind turbine turning is called kinetic energy, this power is converted into electricity.

Theory : Fast flowing water turns the turbines, and the generator system converts this kinetic energy into electrical energy. An example of a hydroelectric power dam, is the Kielder Water reservoir, located in Northumberland, operated by RWE Npower and is the largest system in England. Just tried to demonstrate a miniature model of same. Hope you like the video.
